Meet Our Makers
Have you ever looked at a work of art or craftsmanship and wondered, “How did they make that?” This summer, our resident artists held a series of events to give back to the community answering the questions of inquiring minds.
Our summer “Meet Our Makers” events featured live interactive demonstrations by the artists and craftspeople of the Coastal Craft Gallery. Held each Tuesday from 5 – 7 pm beginning July 11th, local artists at the gallery demonstrated a variety of art techniques including print making, photography, and wood bending. Each artist will shared the tips, tricks, and hints that only come from years of experience. Sessions ran through August 8th as follows:
|Tuesday, July 11||Bending Wood for Shaker Boxes||Ken Klapproth|
|Tuesday, July 18||‘Provincetown’ White Line Printmaking||Lisa Fox|
|Tuesday, July 25||Night photography||Stephen SetteDucati|
|Tuesday, August 1||‘Provincetown’ White Line Printmaking||Lisa Fox|
|Tuesday, August 8||Bending Wood for Shaker Boxes||Ken Klapproth|
Each artist at the Gallery had a great time interacting with attendees and hopefully passed on some artistic inspiration. We look forward to meeting more patrons in the future!
