Supporting charity and giving back

Thanks to our customers, we had a very successful December for “Ornaments for Charity”. $1450 was raised by our artists from your purchases. This sales event, (including gifts) marks the continuation of a 10 year tradition at Coastal Craft Gallery in which our artists create festive ornaments and gifts which benefit charities.  Here’s how it works: each of our artists chooses a charity to receive a portion of the sales price of their handmade ornaments and gifts.  In 2019, our artists gave to the following charities:

American Cancer Society  ** Alzheimer’s Family Support Center of Cape Cod  ** Animal Rescue League **    Association for the Preservation of Cape Cod ** Autism Speaks ** Best Friends Animal Society ** CERF (Craft Emergency Relief Fund) ** Family Pantry of Cape Cod  ** Guiding Eyes for the Blind ** Harwich Fire Association ** Medical Missions for Children ** MSPCA Cape Cod Animal Care & Adoption Center ** People for Cats

Thank you from the artists of Coastal Craft Gallery

Last summer while working at Coastal Craft Gallery, two women came into the shop for the first time. The daughter was in a fellowship program at St. Lawrence University. Her project was to interview people who worked in the arts and paint a portrait of them. I’m very proud to have been part of her project! This portrait of me is one of many portraits that were done. Barbara’s distinctive and unique creations are a celebration of combining function and beauty with an homage to the natural world. She combines designs of both whimsical and elegant creations from her found treasures with glass and wire. A sampling of Barbara’s work can be viewed on her website:  www.capecodbeachbeauties.com

Roberta  Anslow is an award-winning photographer who specializes in original, natural light photography and digital art collages.
